Introduction
Education aims at the holistic development of students. As students are the future of a nation, they must be aware of the society and environment. Every human being has some responsibility to the nature that feeds them. Sound Pollution is one of the various issues faced by human beings as well as wildlife. Through the conscientization programme, the student-teacher aimed at providing ample awareness on sound pollution - causes, impacts and prevention.
Need and Significance
Conscientizing students about sound pollution is vital to instill awareness of its multifaceted causes, encompassing urbanization, transportation, and industrial activities. Understanding its impacts on health, including hearing loss, stress, and impaired cognitive development, motivates proactive preventive measures. Empowered with this knowledge, students can advocate for quieter technologies, sound urban planning, and mindful noise behaviours, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and community well-being from a young age.
